Kiddy Karts Terms & Conditions
We will make every effort to ensure that your child's birthday party or special occasion is a fun, exciting event that they will remember fondly for years to come. To ensure that this happens, there are a few terms and conditions we would like to draw to your attention.
1. Terms
- Bookings are made in time slots. A two hour time slot can accommodate up to 12 children. There is no resriction on the duration of a party as long as the minimum time period for the number of children is met.
- A confirmation letter of your booking will be sent immediately on receipt of a 50% deposit, which is non-refundable.
- We ask that you send your deposit within 7 working days of the initial booking.
- The balance of the event must be paid for either prior to the event or on the day.
- Should you cancel your event within 7 days of the date of the event, full payment, as stated in the Confirmation of Event letter, will be due.
- Jungle Jim's Limited reserve the right to alter any activity on the day due to extreme weather conditions or any other factors outside our control. In the event of an unforeseen circumstance, Jungle Jim's Limited will do their very best to accommodate this circumstance and continue with the party, but this may not always be possible.
- A Jungle Ji'ms kart party consists of 4 karts within a self-contained track. While our karts are well maintained, there may be rare circumstances where either a kart is damaged or suffers mechanical breakdown. We will attempt to fix the kart on site but where this is not possible, the party will continue with a reduced number of karts with no refund due.
2. Conditions
- In addition to our 2 staff, at least two adults must be present at the event at all times.
- The sessions time for your karting party includes time allowed for the pre-karting safety briefing and for the handing of trophies and gifts at the end.
For the enjoyment and safety of all children, the following conditions apply:
- While we will encourage and support all children driving our karts, we reserve the right to exclude drivers who fail to meet the stated criteria. If you have any doubts about any of the following, please contact us directly for further information.
- All children must be a minimum of 3 years old and a maximum of 10 years old. The birthday child must be at least 4 years old on their birthday.
- Children must of an appropriate size. If a child cannot fit the kart safely he/she will not be allowed to drive.
- Children must not wear or carry anything which could cause an obstruction or get caught in any part of the kart.
- Every child must listen to a safety briefing which we give prior to all parties. If there are latecomers, they will be given the safety briefing when they arrive. This may result in a reduced karting time for the other children.
- A child must demonstrate that they can use the kart as instructed. Specifically: they must be able to keep moving forward at a steady pace so as not to obstruct other children driving: they must be able to steer the kart without bumping into other karts or the track: They must demonstrate that they can stop the kart when asked. They must be able to carry out these simple actions without assistance. Any child who cannot demonstrate compliance for whatever reason, or who repeatedly causes disruption or obstruction to the other drivers in any way, will not be allowed to continue. No refund will be due in the unlikely event of a child being excluded.
To ensure that the event runs smoothly and that the children enjoy their time with us and to protect our equipment and the children using it, we ask that they must adhere to the safety rules given in the safety talk as follows:
- Children must drive round the circuit one way only.
- Deliberate bumping into other karts and into the circuit is not allowed.
- Children must keep their hands on the steering wheel at all times.
- Children should look forward in the direction they are driving.
- Children must not get into or out of the karts without supervision of our staff.
- Children must not enter the track until the previous drivers have left the track and our staff have called the next participants on.
- Children must never enter the track while the karts are in operation.
- Children must stop their kart if requested to do so by our staff.
- Children should not touch any of the kart controls other than the pedal and steering wheel.
- Spectators are not permitted to lay, sit or jump on the track barrier at any time.
We trust you all have an enjoyable party.
