Go-karting makes an exciting attraction at any child’s birthday party celebrations, children love to get behind the wheel of our colourful electric powered karts. The activity is safely contained within a ‘grand prix’ style circuit, so the young party-goers can enjoy the thrill of driving for themselves in a totally secure and supervised environment.
At the start of any go-karting session all drivers receive a full safety briefing and equipment demonstration. After making sure each child understands the safety rules, they will start their driving experience. In a typical session, the children will drive the karts in groups of 3 or 4 for around 3 minutes, then the next group will have a go and so on. Depending on the numbers in attendance, each child should get at least 4 turns. During the party we introduce cones and games for an additional challenge. The session can run competitively or non-competitively the choice is yours. Trophies are available and awarded for First, Second and Third place if required and the birthday child always receives a gift and card.
If the group is aged between 3-5 years old we may have to vary the format slightly, for example by removing the activity where children steer around cones. At the end of the session, the birthday child does a lap of honour while the rest of the children sing “Happy Birthday”.
Each party lasts for 2 hours; the children use the karts for 1 hour then there is a 30 minute break whilst the food is served before returning for a further 30 minutes on the karts. All children have free use of the outdoor play equipment at any time before during or after the party session.

Each event is fully supervised and the children are given a safety briefing and driving instruction at the start of the session. Jungle Jim's Kiddy Kart staff will only let them drive when they’re confident they can drive the kart safely; there is a height restriction of 1.5 metres in force. Safety rules are displayed during the session. The karts have a speed limiter so we can adjust the speed according to the child’s age and ability, the maximum speed being 6mph. The accelerator pedal also acts as a decelerator which means that releasing the pedal produces immediate braking. This will bring the kart to a halt safely and smoothly.
Each Jungle Jim's Kiddy Karts staff member is given thorough instruction in handling and maintenance of the equipment. They are given a checklist of safety procedures based on our risk assessment. The are normally two experienced operatives at each event. New members of staff will attend a minimum of three events during training where there are two experienced operatives.
We have undertaken a full Health and Safety assessment of all our equipment and venues. For private bookings we will undertake a risk assessment of the premises prior to the event.

The electric powered karts travel between 1 and 6 mph and with the light accurate steering and very smooth controls, youngsters find driving them extremely easy to manage. They are completely safe with cushioned seat, padded cockpit, front, side and rear bumpers, sturdy roll bars, low centre of gravity and powerful regenerative braking. If the children veer off course, they are brought to a gentle halt by the inflated boundary.
The electric CUB Karts are designed and built by Pacer Leisure International, a family-run business which has been involved with manufacturing and selling its unique range of karts for more than ten years. The CUB kart is a battery operated off-road rally kart which is extremely safe for children between 3 – 10 years of age.
The circuit measures 15 metres long and 11 metres wide and is supported by air from an electric blower. It has a ten foot high ‘grand prix’ type arch attached to an air-supported centre island. The track is in one piece and the nature of the structure ensures that when the CUB Kart comes into contact with the circuit cover it is brought to a gentle halt.
